This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are very inquisitive and eager to learn. They are hard working and respectful kids who need the right environment and care from the adults around them. I have seen my kids try their best every single day, if we treat them right and are able to motivate them to do so. They need to be encouraged for their efforts. The majority of my students come from low income backgrounds and can not always afford all the supplies they need for their learning, therefore I have to provide them with the supplies in my classroom.
In our school all students are given Apple iPads but they don’t all have the stylus to use with iPads.
Also for interactive class, whiteboards are a necessity and with it comes the need of dry erase markers, our class is in need of that all the time.
My Project
Most of the times, I see students being scared of math. I want to change it for my students. I want them to have fun in math class, and be equipped with the skills to face the world. All these resources that I have requested in my list will help my students learn math in a more interactive way. I use whiteboards in my class on a regular basis and therefore, I always run out of markers and the condition of my present whiteboards is really bad, and need a replacement. The stylus will help my students work on their digital portfolios that I am making my students create this year, as the students have their individual iPads. All your help will be greatly appreciated!
