Many of my students who walk into my classroom have never been to any sort of educational setting before. Therefore, when they enter my classroom they are introduced to many things that they have never seen before.
Consequently, my students are so excited to explore and discover new things in kindergarten.
They love learning new letters and their sounds. They especially love new and engaging activities to learn them with. We become close learning and experiencing together. We're excited for new tools to help make reading fun!
My Project
My students love anything that makes their learning more fun and engaging. One thing that we especially love in my classroom is singing and dancing. Every day we come up with new songs to help us remember our sounds and sight words. The Bluetooth Speaker Machine will engage students when they get to lead the chants with music and dancing.
Many of the other tools will help us get more engaged for our guided reading time together.
This is a time that I get to sit down with a small group and work on their individual needs as readers. We will love being about to use the finger pointers as a new and fun way to track our reading. The Tap Lights will help us break down those simple CVC words by tapping each sound that we hear. The Slap Bands bracelets will help us "slap on" the final sound as we are chopping the words out as we read.
My students are also going to love the opportunity to build with Play-Doh in their word work center. The Crayola erasable colored pencils are the perfect tools to use in our spelling center so that my students can easily erase their mistakes.
