it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a proud occupational therapist at a Title I school in New York City, I work with students who are filled with big ideas, bright imaginations, and an eagerness to learn—but we often lack the basic materials to bring those ideas to life. This project will provide essential classroom supplies like pencils, crayons, paper, watercolor sets, and other creative tools so my students can write stories, illustrate their thinking, and express themselves through art.
In my therapy room, we emphasize both academic skills and creative expression.
With paper and pencils, my students draft stories, solve math problems, and journal about their days. With paints and markers, they bring history lessons to life and visualize their science experiments. Every supply in this project will be used daily to help them communicate, create, and build confidence in their abilities.
Your support means my students won’t have to worry about whether there will be enough materials for everyone. Instead, they’ll walk into a classroom that is full of possibility—where they feel equipped, inspired, and seen. Thank you for helping to fuel the learning and creativity of tomorrow’s thinkers, artists, and leaders.
