My Project
Writing is a powerful tool for young learners, and in first grade, it’s where ideas begin to take shape. My students are learning how to turn their thoughts into sentences, their experiences into stories, and their voices into written words. To support this important work, I’m requesting primary journals designed specifically for early writers—with space to draw on top and lined paper below for writing. These journals are perfect for helping students plan, visualize, and then write with purpose. Next year, I would like to write often in our classroom—stories, reflections, journal entries, and more.
But to keep up with this practice, we need the right tools.
A steady supply of pencils and quality journals will give my students the materials they need to grow as writers. With your support, they’ll have the confidence and resources to express themselves, one word at a time.
