My Project
We are always needing more rakes, shovels and hoes for the garden! We have been diligently adding to our raised bed garden area, and we have now added raised beds to our greenhouse that was not being used in the past. We cleared it out, placed the raised beds down, and are now in the process of filling them all up. It's sure taking a lot of soil and mulch! But we will eventually fill them all and see if the plants grow better with a little bit of shade and not have to be in the hot sun all the time.
We are doing a shade experiment next quarter and will plant the same plants in both the shaded greenhouse and the sunny raised bed to see which grows better.
To do this we need to add another panel of shade cloth to the greenhouse and secure it with zip ties. The plastic zip ties we used last year are already broken, so we will try these metal ones this time. We just have to be more careful when we are using them. The shovels and rakes are used daily in class, and we need more labels for our label maker. We are doing a lot this school year, and having these tools and supplies just makes everything easier!
