This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school is a Title I school that resides in the Miami-Dade County Public School District and has a strong sense of community. The students at our school are potential life long learners and must be prepared for academics and projects that incorporate 21st-century skills. Our school is now a Kindergarten through 8th-grade center. The students in my class are phenomenal students and love to learn. They strive for excellence and I would like to equip them with the necessary tools to be successful.
My Project
In an effort to provide my students with the best possible education and meet their needs, I am asking for a document camera and a fidget seat option. These materials will make a world of a difference in my classroom. The document camera will provide students with a larger view of how to implement reading strategies to increase their comprehension. This will also present them with the opportunity to share their work and answers. The fidget seat option will be utilized to help students that struggle with focusing due to their unspent energy. This seating option will increase on-task behaviors and allow the opportunity for students to release their unspent energy.
