Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

As a new teacher in Hunts Point, an impoverished section of other South Bronx in New York City, I find it very difficult to teach students with limited supplies. This past year, I struggled to teach all of my lessons by placing chart paper over a big book chart. Basically, I had to create my own easel/white board in order to teach lessons to my students while they were at the rug. This was a big challenge for me and for my students. If we were able to have a nice white/board and easel stand, we would be able to learn more efficiently without having to worry about chart paper falling and students not being able to see what is being written on paper and a self-made white board. It is my hope that someone will sponsor my students by supplying us with a white board/easel with dry erase markers and chart needed for delivering successful and efficient lessons, which will help mold idealistic students ready to learn.
