This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I work with a targeted group of minority students in a low income community. These students are facing behavior, academic, and/or socio emotional challenges. My role is to provide support in these areas so that they not only pass their classes and ensure they are able to graduate, but to also build soft skills and character traits that will make them successful out in the real world.
Due to financial barriers, not all students have the basic supplies and resources needed to start the school year off.
My goal for this project is for all of my students to have the essential supplies to start the school year on the right track.
All students will receive pencils and pens as part of a back to school gift bag. The notebooks and lead will be provided as needed and the stickers and cups will be used as rewards and incentives. Thank you for supporting my students.
