My Students

My students need access to materials that will support their regulation and help them succeed. Many of my students are facing challenges at home or in school. Several of my students have difficult home lives; others are struggling with sensory integration needs. Each student is eager to come to school and learn. Several students have varied sensory needs that can interfere with their learning. My students are active learners that, at times, have difficulty maintaining focus during teacher-directed activities. When provided with a space to get their energy out as well as a space to calm their bodies, they are ready to participate in classroom discussion and share their knowledge!

My Project

Sensory challenges place a barrier between a student and their learning potential. My students are smart, capable children that are learning how to regulate their bodies. The adjustable feature of the Moving Mountains Double Squeezer will allow me to teach my students how to meet their own sensory needs.

Having sensory materials available will create an environment that promotes self-regulation and attention.

My students will be able to "climb through the mountain" to achieve a level of calm that will allow them to be successful throughout their day at school.

When my students are regulated and focused, they are able to participate in classroom activities and discussions and show us what they know!
