Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students start every day excited to learn. Unfortunately, some of my students do not have all of the materials necessary to hit the ground running. They have the potential, they just need the resources to be a success.

My students are from a low socioeconomic area.

They are very energetic and enthusiastic about learning. They are hardworking students who often do not have home support. The new standards will be difficult to teach or implement without the proper resources. With the classroom supplies that I have selected I will be able to deliver rigorous and engaging performance tasks to help students achieve a high level of learning.

My Project

I teach science and mathematics to students with disabilities at the middle school level. Most of my students struggle at both of these subjects, and I don't want want a lack of classroom supplies to be a reason that they struggle. I envision students actively practicing their science and math skills with their new classroom supplies such as pencils, notebooks, erasers, graph paper, folders, dry erase markers, highlighters, and high interest readers.

Having the access to paper and a pencil can help unlock an entire day of learning for a student.

Donations to this project will allow students to feel ready to meet the challenges of the 6th grade common core classroom.
