My Students
This group of students are 9th and 10th grade Math students who want to learn and do well in school
They have been out of the classroom, as most have, for over a year and a half.
They have grown accustomed to using their phones for everything. I want to help them become thinkers again. They are great kids but are out of practice of how to be students and part of a team. Some have always struggled in Math, others are simply out of practice.
My Project
My students have become dependent on technology and their phones for everything. I want to help them become independent thinkers and doers again. Hands on activities are the key. But allowing them to use calculators for the simple Math that is difficult for them, will allow them to be successful in the more difficult concepts. When their phones are out, they are immediately distracted. But using a simple calculator keeps them on task.
It will take a village to get our children back on tract with their education.Be a part of this village.
