This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are bilingual or on their way there and have various skills and needs. Most are English learners and some have special learning needs. They enjoy reading in both English and Spanish, especially with audio. When learning a language it is important to hear it modeled, therefore headphones are crucial when students are working independently or in small groups. Headphones will allow students to listen to stories in both languages and practice their vocabulary.

Learning a second language is a challenge on its own.

For students with learning needs something like headphones or kick bands for their chair can make a huge difference in their ability to concentrate and stay engaged for long periods of time.
