My Project

COVID has had a profound effect on all students, but especially the most vulnerable students in special education. These materials will help students in special education close the gap between them and their peers. They need special tools to meet their needs, and these supplies would have an incredible positive effect in giving my special education students the tools they need to succeed. The sensory tools, elliptical, and walking pad would provide my wiggly students the sensory input they need to learn. Research has shown the benefit that physical activity can have on students' brains! In addition to missing school, many of these students missed out on therapy outside of school due to COVID. Students will use these sensory and learning tools to meet (and hopefully surpass!) their IEP goals.
