Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students get pulled for small group instruction several times a week. The supplies being requested are to better prepare students, and keep up with their progress.

I would like to use different methods of teaching including paper and pencil, as well as using technology to meet our students' learning needs.

Students will use composition notebooks while in our small group instruction. The date stamper will be a quick way to notate when the student has completed an assignment. I am requesting spiral notebooks, binders, and dividers to take notes and track student data. The magnetic letters are going to help students visually differentiate vowels from consonants. This will assist them in identifying letter sounds, and to building words. The flash drive will be used to plan and save future work that will be done with students each week.

I am requesting an iPad for students to use while working one on one instruction with me. I would love to incorporate technology to keep students engaged. This is a fun way to still teach a lesson and have students interact while learning. The accessories for the iPad will be used to plan for lessons, as well as protect it from getting damaged.

The rolling utility cart would be so beneficial to have, as I would be able to move around the classroom freely. I would be able to meet with students anywhere in the classroom, not just at a particular table. The cart would have all the needed supplies, and ready to go.
