Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We have two 6th grade language arts classrooms with new teachers, and each teacher has two blocks of students.
Because 80+ students read and write in our classrooms daily, we need fresh writing materials that will boost interest.
We want our students to connect art with writing (illustrations) as they go through the writing process each unit (pens, multi-cultural colored pencils, blank booklets). We also want our students to take ownership in their classroom library by organizing into bins by genre, author, etc.
Your donation will also support our students' mental well-being with flexible seating (stools, seat cushions) and a beautiful rug to enjoy a good book!
