Help me give my students these basic school supplies to help aid in their learning. My students do not have many school supplies of their own, and I am hoping to have supplies available for all to use.
My school is a small, public school in Southern Illinois. Fifth grade is a pivotal year for students, as they are being taught tough curriculum, dealing with more responsibilities, and heavier homework loads. It is a year where a lot of important changes are taking place.
My students are a fun, hardworking group of kids who deserve the best education they can get.
They try their best, even when they are learning concepts that aren't that easy to understand. I could not ask for a better group of kids to teach.
My Project
My students mostly come from low-income families and are unable to bring in basic school supplies that are needed. With this project, I am hoping to provide my students with a variety of school supplies that aids in their learning throughout the school year.
The scissors will be used in a multitude of ways from review games, crafts, and cutting/pasting materials for subjects.
The white board erasers will cut down on Kleenex waste in the classroom, as well as be reused year after year in my room.
I try to have my students up and moving as much as possible when learning and reviewing material, and having the clipboards to hold their papers will make it easier for students to write while they are walking around the classroom.
