My Project
I am excited to move into a position where I will work to provide math intervention to 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students. This new position will allow me to work with 8 teachers in order to support students who are below or well below in their math. In this role I will be going from classroom to classroom, working with teachers to team teach and provide in class support for students to help move students.
With nearly 70% of students at our school NOT meeting grade level standards it is essential that every minute of time with students is effective and meaningful.
In order to do this job effectively I need to make sure that I have the tools I use regularly with students right at my disposal. This project will provide me with a cart that I can take from classroom to classroom with the math tools, curriculum, and manipulatives needed to efficiently meet the needs of my students and support teachers. This tool will cut down on the amount of time that would be wasted gathering and getting supplies from my office and increase face time with students.
