Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are creative, resourceful, and have wonderful imaginations. The geo boards, lacing cards, play dough, play dough tools, googly eyes, pattern blocks, and insect counters will be perfect to engage them in discovering that their little fingers can manipulate rubberbands around the nails of the geo boards, navigate laces through holes, shape play dough into delightful forms, and organize insects into groupings that reflect the numbers we have been studying. They would delight in their capacity, all while the small muscles in their fingers get stronger and more capable of gripping a pencil, crayon, or pair of scissors.
Developing fine motor skills is one of our essential TK standards.
