Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are diverse learners, some are hands-on, some learn best through listening, and others need movement or visuals to stay engaged. The items on this list were carefully chosen to help me provide the kind of flexible, supportive environment they deserve.

Items such as Expo markers, headphones, and fidgets may seem simple, but they play a critical role in supporting the diverse needs of my students.

Expo markers make learning more interactive, especially for hands-on learners who benefit from writing out answers or participating in small group activities using whiteboards. This low-pressure format encourages engagement and builds confidence, especially for students who are hesitant to make mistakes. Headphones are essential for creating a focused learning environment, particularly for students with ADHD, sensory sensitivities, or anxiety. They also support auditory learners by allowing them to engage with audio materials, read-alongs, or individualized lessons without distractions. These tools not only enhance focus and comprehension but also promote independence and self-confidence in learners who may otherwise struggle. Together, these resources make a meaningful difference in helping every student succeed in a way that works best for them. These supplies will not only enhance learning, they will help my students feel seen, capable, and empowered.
