My Students

My students are imaginative and fun-loving kids. They come from low-income households and have not had much experience with the world outside their small community.

Many of my students don't have the ability to learn online or even have books.

Many depend on worksheet packets and whatever books I sent at home the beginning of distance learning. Despite the hardships they are facing with school being closed, they are eager learners. With all of the many financial hardships families are facing, students need to come back to school without feeling they do not have the right tools.

My Project

Using these materials, we can make hands on projects during our lessons. My project allows students to have materials such as glue, scissors, Expo markers, highlighters, etc. for our distance learning meetings and future meetings. For my students and parents, it will provide them with a sense of reassurance and confidence to not worry financially about providing these materials. A great way to build excitement to continue working hard during distance learning and move into the classroom with an attitude ready to start the year with their Tools for Success.
