Every day the students are engaged in Daily 5 and Reading Horizons. Daily 5 allows them to choose their own learning. The Ziploc bags are used to store all their materials (books, folder, notebook). This allows them to transition from one activity to the next. During the school day the children are also working to improve their reading fluency with Reading Horizons. A new phonics pattern is taught each week, and the white boards and markers are used for students to practice the words.
By donating to our project you will be helping the students increase their reading fluency, which ultimately aids in reading comprehension.
You will also be helping to foster their love of learning through Daily 5.
