My Students

I teach a wonderful group of 5th graders. My class consists of many different leveled learners, I have very advanced students as well as lower ELL students. Even though these students come from different backgrounds they have found a community in our classroom. They are very willing to help one another out in difficult situations and help each other learn from their mistakes. This group has a great understanding of what a growth mindset is.

My Project

My student have had many changes this year in school, one being that they got a brand new teacher in the middle of the school year. Because of this switch, and as I am a first year teacher, we do not have many supplies or organization in our classroom. The markers and colored pencils with help us be more creative as well as help in subjects like math and science to create different graphs and visuals to help our learning. The whiteboards will help with individual learning as well as assessments as we go. We do not have full class sets of these small things that help our knowledge in many different subjects.
