My Project

In our 6th-grade classroom, we aim to create a welcoming, engaging, and productive environment where all students can thrive.

The items requested in this project—scissors, pencils, mints, tennis balls, and fun pens—are small yet impactful tools that will enhance both our learning experience and classroom atmosphere.

Scissors and pencils are basic yet essential items for daily activities. Whether we’re cutting out geometric shapes to understand volume or sketching diagrams for math problems, having access to quality supplies ensures every student can participate fully. Fun pens will add excitement to our written work, encouraging students to take pride in their assignments while building motivation to learn.

Mints will serve as a positive reinforcement tool, rewarding students for their hard work and focus. Studies suggest that mints can also improve alertness and memory, giving students an added boost during challenging tasks. Tennis balls, placed on the bottoms of our chairs, will significantly reduce the noise from chairs scraping on the floor. This seemingly simple addition will create a calmer, more focused environment that benefits everyone, especially students who are easily distracted.

Our students are special because of their resilience and curiosity. They come from diverse backgrounds and face unique challenges, yet they show up each day ready to learn and grow. They take pride in their work and our classroom community, treating resources with care and respecting one another.

The goal of this project is to ensure that every student feels comfortable, supported, and motivated in our learning space. By providing these supplies, we can foster a creative, collaborative, and distraction-free environment where students can focus on achieving their best. With your support, we can empower these young learners to excel academically and develop a lifelong love of learning.
