Tooling Around in the Garden

My Project

Last year, our school was able to start a school garden! This has provided our students with hands-on learning in many ways, from measuring and plotting the planting spaces, starting the seeds, planting the seedlings in the garden, and caring for the plants (not to mention getting to taste some of the vegetables of their labor!). However, we do have a few things that would make things run more smoothly in our garden. We would love to have a compost bin to help create our own nutritious plant food while reducing our school's food waste. A flexible hose will make it easier for us to store the hose closer to the garden itself (last year, we were trudging it out from the boiler room in a trash can!). Additionally, some garden tools for the kids will help them prepare the soil for our plants!
