it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Toner Low! Toner Low! Emergency in Mrs. G's class! We are running out of our supplies for centers, projects, and newsletters! What are we to do? With your help, our students and teachers can use the printer again for all of our materials, and more!
Our classroom is bright, colorful, energetic, and motivating.
Oops, did I mean the classroom or the students? Our class' students are warm, sweet, and extraordinary. We have 25 students in the class, all from different countries and backgrounds. We share one common goal, to learn as much as we can and SHOW IT OFF! One of the greatest moments in the class, is when one student gives an answer or tries their hardest at answering a question, and they turn around and see their classmates giving them the class "Hooray" sign because they are genuinely proud of each other's work!
And it's not just the students that are extraordinary, but the teachers in Kindergarten and 1st Grade. The classroom has become the hot-spot for our teachers to share ideas, collaborate, and motivate each other to best serve our students. We are constantly working together to put the newest and greatest projects together to keep those extraordinary kids exactly that, extraordinary! There is no stopping us!
My Project
With new toner, we will be able to keep the momentum. Not just for my classroom of students, but for the teacher teams (which serve the purpose of even more classrooms of students)! Our school goal has been to use our motivation to help motivate the parents of our students. We have been providing after-school time for working with parents and students on skills and concepts for support, as well as enrichment. The toner will help us put together projects and newsletters to keep the parents informed, and to continue to work towards our school goal. One of the greatest activities to come from the printer, has been the collaboration between Kindergarten and 1st Grade teachers. We have been able to reach ALL students by working together on lessons, activities, and supports that span both grade levels. It has been so rewarding to share materials that we used the printer for, in two grade-levels. And continues to motivate us!
Toner will not just improve one classroom, but two grades of classrooms!
Our students will able to have personalized activities, and our parents will be able to join in on the learning their children are doing at school. We are always so honored and grateful for the donors that have supported our projects in the past. We promise to always do the best for our students, families, and community.
