Toner Cartridges for Our Laboratory Classroom Printer

My Project

Our high school is one of the top schools in the East Side District in San Jose, California. It provides excellent education to around 2000 students, a little over a third of which are economically disadvantaged, enrolled in the district's free or reduced lunch program. The school boasts of a lot of students pursuing STEM-related career paths as evidence by the high number of students taking higher level mathematics and science classes, particularly Advanced Placement or AP classes. The science curriculum dictated by the Next Generation Science Standards considers incorporating visual learning for our students. That is why projects have been incorporated that makes the invisible world of chemistry visible and more real to them and why we requested and obtained our own color classroom printer, sot that our students are able to make color hardcopies of these projects plus laboratory data for presentation.

As more projects have been printed by our students, we need to replenish our printing supplies, more importantly the set of black and color toner cartridges for our printer so that students can continue to use them.

Our color printer has been a tremendous tool for the students the past couple of school years. They have been able to print copies of their projects that were displayed inside and outside the classroom. Projects like informative posters showing the basic components of different atoms or relevant information about the different elements on the periodic table show not only the artistic skills of our students but help them understand the lessons more and be able to relate them with the real world. In addition to this, my students were also able to print out colorful laboratory data and tables and were able to display and present them in front of the other students.
