Help me give my students the tools they need to be authors. The binding machine will allow them to publish stories. The crayons, markers, pencils, and paint will allow them to add creative illustrations.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are friendly, helpful, and happy. If you read aloud a story you are bound to hear applause at the conclusion. Fall down and ten miniature nurses will try to help you up! Struggle on the playground and someone will shout "You've got this".
They enjoy being together and learning new things.
I love how supportive they are of each other. They delight in their own achievements and cheer on their classmates with gusto.
My Project
The markers, crayons, and bookbinding machine will help my students create the books of their dreams. They will keep rough drafts in the storage boxes, When they are ready to publish their stories, they can write and illustrate using the art supplies. Their story will be bound into a book!
The art of writing helps the author understand and clarify their own thoughts.
It is said that often people do not fully understand their own thoughts until they write them down. Writing is academic, therapeutic, artistic, and a form of communication. It is often a gift to the reader.
