My students need Chromebooks to support online resources that teach about TOLERANCE.

Close your eyes and imagine a classroom full of laughter, excitement, and fun. Now take this same classroom and see 22 eager, confident, and full of life second graders who have a pure joy for school and all it has to offer. Notice their smiling faces and the way their eyes light up during conversations. Notice the teamwork and the high fives that are happening all over the classroom.
They are the heart and soul of my classroom.
They know that they are strong, independent thinkers who can accomplish anything they work for. My students may come from economically disadvantaged households but they come to school everyday giving it all that they have.
These Chromebooks will make a HUGE difference in my students learning and improve their school and home lives by giving them access to meaningful educational topics that relate to important social acceptances in their community. The Chromebooks will allow my students online access to interact with the Time for Kids magazine subscription that they already have. This magazine is an excellent resource to teach my students about culture, their diverse community, and acceptance for others.
It promotes captivating conversations about fostering tolerance in our classroom.
My intent is to utilize these resources to help my students better familiarize themselves with the diverse community in which they live and to teach them about tolerance!
I am so excited to start implementing this online access to curriculum in our classroom. I know the hands-on, virtual interaction will bring this important topic of accepting differences to another level for my students.
