This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are resilient, kind and eager to learn and grow everyday. They all come from very diverse backgrounds and they are all uniquely special in their own ways. The students I get to work with everyday are amazing and it is my privilege to be their counselor.
My Project
Everyday my students come to school ready and eager to learn but what we don't always see is what else they come to school with. All students have their own struggles but it is my job to help them try and navigate through their difficulties and show them strategies to navigate any challenges they may face.
These supplies I have requested will allow for me to counsel and help all of my students, by providing them with the tools they need to overcome and deal with the challenges they are facing in their lives.
I have requested amazing materials such as, sensory tools, therapy games, social emotional journals and more. All of these materials will be used to help my students understand the importance of developing coping strategies, as well as self-care.
