The majority of students who come to see me are students who struggle with their mental health. These students need support and resources to not only get them through the day but also help them grow into successful and well-rounded individuals.
Mental health is such a crucial aspect in the schools and really sets the foundation for a great year!
My Project
When students cope better, they can learn better! The same goes for the teachers in our building! These books and games will be implemented in a way that teaches both the students and our faculty how to better cope with their emotions so that they flourish in not only their job but in every aspect of their life. Sensory and fidget toys are used daily in my office for students who are coping and processing their emotions, whether that be stress, depression, anxiety, or just being overwhelmed from the pressures that they are facing. Stepping into my office gives them a relaxing escape so that they can better face the world when they leave!
