My Students
Our 2nd grade classroom is full of eager and enthusiastic learners! These students are from Queens, NY and greatly lack materials. These students come from a low income area where they lack resources. Our diverse learners range widely in academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
Students work on academics as well as their social-emotional and organizational skills when in school.
The implementation of technology in schools helps close that gap. Technology helps make teaching and learning more meaningful and fun. Students are also able to collaborate with their own classmates through technological applications. We are encouraged to implement technology in the classroom but lack the reliable resources to ensure students have an engaging learning experience.
My Project
My project is to provide my students with quality resources to support their learning styles in the classroom. This technology will help students access programs and help run centers in the classroom so students are able to receive small group instruction based on their needs.
Technology can serve as an asset within a classroom setting.
It can help reinforce curriculum for students with different learning styles, support students to use effective programs during group, and center work. These programs are essential for students to learn at their own pace which creates growth in their learning. These programs also make it faster, easier, and more reliable to collect data on student's strengths, and deficits, which makes it easier for teachers to prepare effective lessons.
