I need to subsidize the tuition for the Wellness , SEL and yoga offered by Breathe for Change to enhance the mental health of middle school students.

My Project

I envision a classroom and school environment which embraces the philosophies and concepts taught to me by Breathe for Change. The social and emotional environment in schools has been negatively impacted by the 2 1/2 year pandemic and I feel, as an educator, it is my responsibility to help mitigate the negative effects and create a positive learning environment. I will do this by conducting seminars, afterschool programs and in class SEL activities.

Mindfulness matters and in the case of students it will improve their focus, self regulation and commitment to compassion for others once exposed to these ideas.
