My kids are characters! Big hearts, big smiles, and excited to learn! They are bright and hard working!
Many of my students are ELLs and come from lower-income families.
They come from diverse families, some are new to the country, and many deal with a lot of problems at a young age. They are so full of possibilities and hope. I want them to have a classroom where they feel safe, confident, and are empowered in their learning.
Every child deserves the best in their education.
My Project
The past few years have really taken a toll on my students emotionally. My students come with many problems and struggles to the classroom. Some are homeless, some have intense family problems to deal with, and others are worried about what is in the news.
The power of a great story helps children interact with characters with similar emotions, interactions with family and friends, and ways to work through difficult situations.
I will use the books to help my students learn correct behavioral expectations, deal with emotional experiences and give them hope that they can overcome their own problems.
The science supplies will bring hands on happiness in my classroom! They love when they get to explore and engage in science!
