Today I Would Like to Sit and Read...

My students need a bean bag chairs for a comfortable place to read during silent reading.

My Students

My students are readers! We start every class period with 15 minutes of silent reading and they are engaged in their books the entire time!

We need to get comfortable as we enter in the land of imagination!

I am so happy to be able to move to a bigger classroom this year. This gives me an opportunity to allow my kids to spread out instead of just sitting at their desks during reading time. Please help us out!

My Project

I would like to acquire five Big Joe bean bag chairs (and two bags of refill beans) for my students to use while reading. I teach middle school and these big kids love to stretch out just as much as the little ones do.

In the words of Neil Gaiman, " A book is a dream that you hold in your hands." I am never surprised when I look around my classroom and see every student reading, completely engrossed in a different world.

My room is where they can escape their worries and cares, while falling into a good book.
