Help me give my students the opportunity to read books with characters from diverse cultures.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I will be teaching a diverse and wonderful group of 10 kindergarten to second-grade students in a special day class designed to support children with Autism. Although some of my students will be new to the classroom, I will also have students from last school year who are eager to learn!
My Project
My students enjoy reading and listening to stories. During my first year teaching it was important to me to expose my scholars to stories that include characters who look like them or have similar experiences as they do. Additionally, I also found it important to use books as a way for my students to learn about people from other cultures. The titles I have included in this project will help me expand my classroom library and achieve the goal of exposing every student who walks into my classroom to multicultural books.
