it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Having a place to display the classroom library I've been building for the past 24 years would be perfect! Having these books at their reach will help foster the love of reading I strive to create in my room. My classroom library will be a place that my students can sit and really enjoy a book of their choice. I read on the carpet to them, a carpet I was also able to get donated two years ago through DonorsChoose. They complete work there, and they read independently! All of these books I have been collecting these past years are with my students in mind. Students will be able to choose books, sit on the rug and enjoy getting lost in a great book.
With this new book shelf, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books that will allow them to explore and new world and get lost in their books.
They will also be able to choose books that interest them and at all their different levels. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading. This book display will only help enrich their experiences with the printed word.
