My Project
I work as a Librarian at a high school in central Massachusetts. It is a very culturally diverse but economically challenged neighborhood. Many of my students cannot access public libraries; their school library is their connection to resources outside of their street and their neighborhood.
Memoirs that reflect their experiences, their histories, and their families are crucial titles to have on the shelves.
These kids are motivated; they are invested in their education and a future that they can see. Reading personal stories from people they can relate to helps them on their path.
These books are a strong foundation that I can build upon - with the help of Donors Choose supporters like you!
