My Project

Our classroom library beginner books are falling apart! Our class has plenty beginner readers, who have been using online resources to supplement reading (which means they are spending more time on screens). Excessive screen time has been shown to have negative effects on children and adolescents. It's been linked to psychological problems, such as higher rates of depression and anxiety, as well as health issues like poor sleep and higher rates of obesity. Let's give them fresh new books that aren't ripped, turning brown, or falling apart! Let's Get These Students Off The Screen! We Can Do It!
