My Project
Our classroom library was in desperate need of more up-to-date books that the students would enjoy reading independently. We needed books that included various themes. The books were outdated and some were very worn out. We had books that were taped together and even some books that had missing pages.
My ultimate goal for the past two school years was to create a new library to support my students' literacy growth with more up-to-date books.
I knew that with the appropriate books in our library I could accomplish this and send them off to the next grade reading on the appropriate level. Thank you for supporting my classroom and making my vision come true. Literacy is the essence of all. When students leave the earlier grades reading on level research shows that they are more than likely not going to struggle through their remaining school years.
We have been so lucky and blessed to have many reading levels funded already. We have almost reached my goal. This is currently the last reading level we need to have a complete second grade leveled library. My heart is filled with so much joy for the students I serve and with gratitude for donor like you at this platform who can make a teacher's dreams and hope of supporting their students come true.
