This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Returning back to in-person teaching after a year of virtual learning is a tough! My First graders are excited and willing to learn and have all the great experiences of being in the classroom.
My students come from a high-poverty area with very limited resources already, and COVID-19 has added a greater impact.
My Project
My students are well on their way with their independent reading, but it's time to add some fun new books to their library.
The Alphabet Soup game will help promote school readiness with activities that support alphabet awareness, letter recognition, early phonics, and reading.
This will be a fun and engaging activity to add to our daily small group work.
The Tough Cookie is a new addition to a series that my students already love! They are so excited for this new book! The Buddy Readers are easy-to-read books correlated to their Guided Reading Level and help them build early literacy skills.
