it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Hi! I teach English Language Arts to 6th graders in Ridgewood New York. I teach 3 ELA classes. My students are diverse, enthusiastic, and eager to learn. My students enjoy to read and get lost in a good book. My students come to school each day with an independent library book from my class library and read at home every night. I would like to provide my students with many more books in the library that they can choose from.
My Project
Engaging my students in the world of literacy is one of my goals this year. I want my students to truly love and enjoy reading. By students having different options of books to choose from will do just that. Students are more eager to read if the book catches their attention and their interest. My students will read these books in the morning and take these books home every night and read for 15-20 minutes and complete a reading log. I believe students will be eager to go home read, and complete their reading log if they truly love and enjoy the book. I aspire to have a book for every student in my classroom to enjoy.
