My Students
The children in our VPK program at Ozona Elementary are commonly referred to as our "Little Ospreys." They work very hard to come to school each day for six hours to help them be prepared for Kindergarten next school year. They are thankful for everything that our teachers do for them and simply enjoy learning.
My Project
After collecting and analyzing the data from the VPK Assessment administered to our children in September, it is clear that our children have an opportunity to grow in the area of basic foundational reading skills (phonemic awareness, phonological awareness, etc.).
The teachers will use these folder games as additional resources to help build student confidence and practice to ensure our "Little Ospreys" master the skills necessary to become the best readers they can.
Our VPK program would greatly appreciate any assistance to better prepare them for Kindergarten in the next school year.
