My Students

Our students and families are the heart of our school! It is an exceptional school with a diverse population both ethnically and socioeconomically. My classroom is a home away from home for my students and I know that some days they spend more time with me, than they do with their own families. I am dedicated to making sure they feel comfortable, relaxed, and ready to learn everyday! I want them to have the tools and resources they need to explore and create deeper understandings of the world around them. They grow so much in this first year of school, and my number one priority is helping them to love school, and giving them confidence as they start their educational journey!

My Project

Access to quality stories and books has an immeasurable impact on children! Like the title says, "Today a reader, tomorrow a leader." Our classroom library could use a major boost of books! The book selections in this project will help my students with social emotional growth, such as in the impactful stories in "Sticks" and "Scribble Stones". In addition, books like "When I Build with Blocks" and "Dreaming Up" have stories that will inspire the engineers in all my students, and accompany our free choice building block time. All of the books will be used throughout the year to spark inspiration and understanding in my students!
