This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come to school everyday ready to learn and try their very best. As a teacher in a large urban school district, I struggle to provide enough resources for my students. My students are independently reading at different levels and are in need of a rich, engaging library of books to chose from. Help me reach every student in my classroom by providing them with engaging reading materials. These materials will help my students learn how to be successful and independent. Thank you!
My Project
These books will provide my students with a wide range of high interest texts. The students will have the opportunity to read books that interest them during our daily quiet reading time and as classroom read aloud texts. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these high interest books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading. I am so excited to get books in their hands that are at their level and see them reading the words. I cannot wait to see all of the progress they will make and see their world open up as they become better readers.
