My Students

My students are creative, inquisitive, and fun. I teach three classes of English Language Arts and have over 80 students. They have a thirst for learning that is unmatched.

Students walk into my classroom everyday excited and ready to learn.

Though many come to school lacking some basic needs, struggling in their home lives, and attempting to learn English as a second language; they all try their best with an enthusiasm that inspires me to do my best everyday to help them reach their goals.

My Project

My students have a voracious appetite for books that I love to feed. They have access to both my classroom library and the media center of the school. However, I looped with my students this year and they have been through my classroom library multiple times over. We are a week into school and already I have students searching for more books to read.

The books I’ve picked for my students are books they have requested and I feel will increase their love of reading.

They love Diary of a Wimpy Kid books, anything to do with sports, and the Harry Potter series. We are working on rebuilding reading stamina and books that they will enjoy will surely help in accomplishing that.
