My Students
My students are a group of hardworking, compassionate, and energetic second graders. They love learning and team building activities, and they thrive on positive interactions.
Every day I strive to create a classroom environment where each student can grow academically, socially and emotionally.
Although our school has a high percentage of economically disadvantaged students, they come to school each day ready to learn! It is so rewarding to watch my little learners grow into intelligent, kind, and thoughtful students. We could use your help to enhance our positive learning community!
My Project
A classroom library is the focal point of the room. Having books displayed, organized, and available is key to creating this space. This space can be created with the Classroom Space-Saver Bookcases.
The classroom library is a space where the love of reading grows in young and impressionable minds.
It is the space where students who are intimidated by reading can become more comfortable; it is a place where the students who are struggling readers become more confident and where the students who never thought they could read a chapter book eventually read a chapter series.
My goal is to continue to teach and foster social and emotional growth in my students. Adding the Building Empathy Library and Learning to Get Along book set into our library will help the students not only become readers but leaders!
