My students need exposure to engaging non-fiction text selections. Time for Kids magazines are engaging, informational, and developmentally appropriate! The digital component is an added bonus! The Reading Comprehension Journals will aid in reading accountability.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
"Tell them and they may forget. Teach them and they may remember. Involve them and they will learn." My students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Learning should not be one of the challenges they are faced with. It is my goal to engage, every scholar, every day!
Primary learning experiences set the foundation for success in later grades.
With the proper resources and opportunities, my scholars will soar to greater heights, beyond their wildest imagination.
In our classroom, we dream big! It's a learning space where inquisition meets challenge.
My Project
Reading is at the core of success across all disciplines. When students enter second grade they transition from learning how to read into reading to learn.
Reading feeds the Imagination.
