My students need a WOW classroom library! With these fabulous eight sets of high-interest chapter books, including Ready Freddy, Andy Shane and Judy Moody, my learners will be transported to many wonderful new places.

My Students

My main goal is to provide a safe and nurturing place where we all take risks. Our classroom is in a rural community in southern Maine. Many of our students come from low to middle-income families. We are a Title I school. I am hoping to reach the needs of all of my learners.

We are a family!

We laugh, we learn, we make mistakes, we try again. We have fun! My students are incredibly special because they are a part of me.

My Project

I moved into a 2nd grade classroom last year. We didn't have a wonderful supply of books. Some of the other teachers were nice enough to donate their extras but is just not reaching all of my learners. We were able to access books through various digital sites but there is nothing like holding a book and turning those pages!

With your donation, I will help my readers find the perfect series of books to get lost in. There is nothing like hearing groans of disappointment when I announce it's time to share where we've gone in our books, at the end of readers' workshop.
