Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

"For one who reads, there is no limit to the number of lives that may be lived."

My students attend a school where they are expected to meet high standards socially and academically.

They are challenged daily in each class. These bright young people are very thankful for all that they are given and appreciate the education they receive.

My Project

With access to books on their reading level, my students will become more fluent readers. They will use the books during our silent reading center and during our morning AR time. I will also be able to use excerpts from these classic books to enhance our reading interactive notebooks.

These books will take my students away to a new place each day.

I want them to enjoy reading as much as I always have. Hopefully, these will help us accomplish our reading goals and make us stronger individuals.
