My Project
Tiger Rising by Kate DiCamillo is a riveting chapter book that deals with grief, loss, friendship, and the power of overcoming adversity. It is a perfect 4th grade book, that all children can connect with and will surely love. As Victor Hugo says in Les Miserables, "To learn to read is to light a fire; every syllable that is spelled out is a spark." I too want to light that "spark" of imagination in each of my fourth graders minds, enabling them to see the magic of getting lost in a book.
